Their Session: In-Home, Brick, NJ

When Bry and Joe invited back into their home a little over a year after their wedding, I was just speechless. They really could have chosen anyone to come in and document their love on their 1 year anniversary, but they came back to me and I’m so truly honored! I am so lucky to have been given the chance to capture their engagement photos and their stunning fall wedding at Allaire State Park in 2018. It really means the world knowing that I get to be a part of milestone after milestone in their lives. I love that I get to give them more tangible memories in their love story beyond just their wedding day excitement!

Bry and Joe’s in-home session had ALL the things I love – it was playful, intimate, meaningful, and just so much fun! The had so many awesome props ready to go, from cozy blankets to freshly brewed coffee, which made us all feel right at home and really lent to the homey vibes we wanted! These two really know how to rock that model face like none other, but nothing was better than seeing their stunning smiles when they laughed with each other!

Their Love Story

These two were working a job that they both really didn’t love. About a week before Bry left the job, Joe slid on into her Instagram direct messages! They hit it off in just a day, and they went on their very first date to a coffee shop in Long Branch, NJ the next day! These two love Italian food and all things nature, like hiking and walking different trails. They’re both so adventurous and up for anything!

Their proposal went a little something like this: “We planned a getaway to Oheka Castle in Long Island for my fiancé’s birthday weekend. We have a major telepathic connection to where I can’t hide a frown from her. I chalked my nervous energy she was vibing up to a birthday surprise, which was also true. I called ahead the previous month and had our room upgraded for the big day. I pulled a friendly valet (Jonathan) aside and told him my plan. I pretended we were getting a few nice pictures taken outside by the castle gardens. As we were posing I pulled out the ring and dropped to my knee. Jonathan captured the whole event on video. We couldn’t be more grateful. P.S. I cried more than she did.”

Bry and Joe,

I had so much fun getting to capture such a range of emotions during your session and I love getting to see how your love has grown since your wedding day! It was SUCH a blast getting to see you, squeeze you, and photograph you again! Love you both soooo much! Happy anniversary lovebirds!! xo
