Their wedding: Crossed Keys Estate, Andover, NJ

This dreamy, peachy summer Crossed Keys Estate wedding has it ALL!!! Incredible vendors, the most magical venue, thoughtful details, a cutie pup, and the sweetest couple! Shannon and Mike are so much fun and so easy-going; it’s no surprise their day was relaxed and an absolute pleasure to photograph!

There’s no doubt they cherish family and friends because you could feel how that was at the forefront of their wedding day plans. Their wedding party rallied around them all day with the best energy. Everyone was eager to celebrate this beautiful couple!

Personal touches from Shannon and Michael were all around. Gorgeous peachy florals with unique blue touches made each space more romantic. Their Labrador Retriever, Finn, was not only a special guest, but he got his very own signature drink! They shared their first dance surrounded by dreamy clouds on the dance floor. And Shannon slipped into the cutest sneakers for the reception, ready to dance the night away! Every detail felt thoughtful and true to them. It was such a perfect day!!!

Their love story

Shannon and Michael met during their freshman year of college in the dorm rooms. As they fell into the same circle, they quickly became great friends. They even spent summers together working as lifeguards at summer camp. It was in their senior year in college that Mike made the first move!

Fast forward to July 2020, when Michael was ready to pop the question! Despite it being a super hot day, their two friends suggested going on a hike that afternoon. Shannon says, “I thought it was kind of unusual that no one seemed to mind the 95-degree weather and still wanted to hike, so I didn’t complain about it. Our two friends and Michael (obviously) were in on the plan. The three of them were walking so fast up the mountain. I think they were anxious to get to the top – haha!! Samantha asked me to take a picture of her and her husband Josh. Then, she said she would take a picture of Michael and I. Right before she took the picture she said, “Ok, on 3 do something crazy.. 1..2..3.” Not sure why I said it at the time but I said, “I have nothing crazy to do.” Michael responded back and said, ‘Well I do.'” What a perfect setup for Michael to get down on one knee!

Shannon was completely blown away and totally surprised by the plan. Next, their friend pulled a bottle of champagne and glasses from her hiking bag, ready to celebrate right there at the top! Later that night, Shannon and Michael celebrated with both of their families and continued spreading the word to friends later that week.
