Their Session: Long Beach Island Barnegat Light, NJ

Ahhh, getting this sweet family in front of my camera again was a DREAM! Their LBI family session in early fall was the most magical evening – great weather, an empty beach in the off-season, and two kiddos with the best energy!

There’s nothing better than photographing my couples from one milestone to the next. It’s been a few years since Alexa and Doug’s engagement session, maternity session, and wedding day, so seeing them again is always a blast! This time around, both of their sons and their dog came to enjoy pizza and running around the shoreline!

Their Love Story

Alexa and Doug met on St. Patrick’s Day years ago. Alexa and her friend decided last minute to go get a drink and picked the only bar that was playing Irish music in the area! That happened to be the same bar Doug and his friend were also at! They all talked quickly and then her and her friend left never expecting to see them again. Fast forward 2 weeks, Alexa ran into Doug again at the same bar where he was celebrating his brother’s birthday. They continued talking and he introduced her to everyone there. As they say, the rest is history!

They celebrated their beautiful wedding day at Crossed Keys Estate back in 2021. Their stunning boho vibe paired perfectly with the elegance of the venue, and Doug got to walk down the aisle holding his son! How special is that?! One of my favorite days at one of my favorite venues!
